Meet the team
Michelle
Michelle Winkley has 25 years working in all facets of HR. She was drawn to HR while working her first job as a teenager noticing the mix of business strategy and people motivation. Michelle worked as an internal HR professional and leader for 17 years for both large corporations and small start-ups including AIG, PwC, Spot Runner, and MySpace. In a turn of events Michelle was asked to consult for a small company and talent distinctions was born. Michelle has extensive experience in building awesome corporate cultures, and HR processes that drive business results.
Amy
Amy Farrell has been working in all facets of HR for the past 15 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. Amy has worked as a Human Resource Professional for Companies such as WPP, Carat, Isobar, and Revana Digital. Amy handles a wide variety of HR projects including policy creation, engagement survey implementation, and other culture building activities. She enjoys the variety of clients and the diverse and every changing landscape of Human Resources management. When she is not focused on helping clients thrive and succeed, she is the mother of two very active young children and a supportive coaches’ wife.
Velveeta
Velveeta Mason uses her strong organizational skills and her passion for process development to assist clients in creating and maintaining HR functions such as HRIS set up, benefit administration, payroll, onboarding and offboarding, and other compliance related processes.
Before joining the Talent Distinctions team, Velveeta worked for 15 years in the Real Estate Industry. She handled all the legal cases for an investment property firm in Marina Del Rey by attending court cases and negotiating deals. She also handled their employee relations function and hiring process. Additionally, she managed their properties in New Mexico and Oregon.
Velveeta is very passionate in the community and volunteers with homeless shelters on a regular basis. She also travels abroad for medical and building missions. She is always looking for an opportunity to give back.
